Contour is honoured to win ‘Best Fintech in Trade’ at the Global Trade Review’s (GTR) annual Leaders in Trade Awards, reflecting its success in establishing itself as a leading Fintech player in the industry. This is the second consecutive year that Contour has won a GTR award. In 2021, Contour was named ‘Leader in Trade for Digitalisation’.
Each year, the GTR Leaders in Trade awards highlight excellence in the trade, commodity, supply chain, export, finance and fintech markets. The 2022 awards have just been announced, recognising the market’s pioneering institutions and top performers from around the world.
The Best Fintech award is testament to the progress Contour has made in driving digital transactions that have made an impact in transforming global trade. Formed in January 2020, Contour is a global network of banks, corporates and trade partners working together to solve the longstanding inefficiencies in trade finance.
At the end of 2021, Contour onboarded over 100 members to its network, which includes its 16 banks, spanning over more than 50 countries. The network is now seeing growth of two to three new corporates every week, proving that the efficiencies obtained from using Contour’s platform are greatly beneficial.
As Contour continues to expand, innovation is a top priority. Its Future of Finance Lab was established in July 2021 to develop new product offerings and create new standards for trade. Contour also announced its next phase to establish itself as a platform that supports a decentralised digital asset marketplace.
Carl Wegner, CEO at Contour, comments: “We are pleased to be recognised with this esteemed industry award, highlighting the rapid pace of growth we have achieved in a short period of time. This is an acknowledgement of our team’s drive and determination as well as the trust we have built among our partners as the leading trade network of choice.”
