Since its inception in 2011, the Global Banking and Finance Awards have reflected the innovation, achievement, strategy, progressive and inspirational changes taking place within the global financial community. The awards were created to recognise companies of all sizes which are prominent in particular areas of expertise and excellence within the financial world.
The 2021 award winners have just been unveiled, and Contour has been named Best New Trade Finance Technology Solution Provider in Asia and Singapore.
From its headquarters in Singapore, Contour has rapidly built a global network of banks, corporates and ecosystem partners. Many of these firms are now live on Contour’s production network and have fully digitised the documentation and processes facilitating Letters of Credit.
Working together with its network, Contour’s vision is to create a better and brighter future for businesses and communities by making global trade accessible, digital and secure.
Contour has quickly become a leading player in the trade finance space since forming in January 2020 and going live as a beta network. After conducting successful trials with 80+ banks and corporates in over 17 countries, Contour announced its official launch into live production in October 2020 – becoming one of the world’s leading decentralised trade finance networks.
Last month, Contour was also named Leader in Trade for Digitalisation at the 2021 GTR Awards.
Carl Wegner, CEO of Contour, comments: “We are delighted to receive another prestigious industry accolade as Contour continues to go from strength to strength. The journey of Contour started with an opportunity – how can we solve the riddle of digitisation of trade and trade finance? This award is testament to the fact that we able to solve this riddle together with our network, allowing a growing number of companies across the globe to benefit from our innovative technology.”
